Hancock Bank expands to Louisiana with its first locations
in Baton Rouge, followed by expansion into the Central Louisiana
and New Orleans areas.
Hancock Investment Services is established.
Hancock Bank opens its first Alabama location in West Mobile.
Hancock Bank of Florida is chartered, and the first locations
open in Tallahassee.
Hurricane Katrina devastates the Gulf South from Mobile to
New Orleans. Hancock Bank is among the first to reopen its
branches, setting the tone for recovery with its “Together
We Rebuild” campaign.
NASDAQ invites Hancock Holding Company, as a symbol of the
Gulf South’s resilient spirit, to open trading one
year after Katrina.
A new Hancock Bank Financial Center opens in historic downtown
Pensacola.
Hancock Bank of Alabama opens its financial center in Downtown
Mobile, naming Jerry Broughton as Market President, Mark
Simpson, Retail Division Manager; and its local
Board of Directors.
Hancock Bank opens new Cottage Hill, Daphne, Malbis and Schillinger financial centers.
